Following the invited talks, 18 textbook authors gave presentations on seven core statistics textbooks—including Statistical Inference, Multivariate Statistical Analysis, and Nonparametric Statistics—covering topics such as textbook development approaches, core content design, and reflections on teaching practice. During this session, the Statistics "101 Plan" working group, together with the expert steering group for core textbooks, provided targeted feedback on each textbook, effectively strengthening the foundation of textbook quality. In addition, the attending experts and scholars engaged in thorough discussions and dynamic exchanges on key issues such as the scientific rigor and systematic nature of textbook compilation, as well as the adaptability and innovation of course instruction. These discussions helped build consensus for further optimizing the textbook system and enhancing teaching effectiveness. This session was chaired by Professor Qiman Shao from Southern University of Science and Technology, Professor Xuguang Song from Beijing Normal University, Professor Hengjian Cui from Capital Normal University, Professor Yong Zhou from East China Normal University, and Professor Jingyuan Liu from Xiamen University.

At the conclusion of the conference, Academician Songxi Chen delivered a closing address. He noted that the seminar and exchanges had focused on the core issue of textbook development under the Statistics "101 Plan," bringing together the wisdom and experience of experts and scholars in the field. This has played a key role in advancing the systematic optimization, standardized development, and large-scale promotion and application of the textbooks, thereby laying a solid foundation for the effective implementation of the initiative.
He also announced that a follow-up symposium is planned for March of this year, which will feature in-depth discussions on improving the teaching system for 13 first-class core courses and finalizing the revisions of 23 core textbooks. He extended a sincere invitation to colleagues and experts to participate in the upcoming event and jointly explore future developments.
