Program Objectives
To strengthen statistical thinking and data analysis capabilities among Tsinghua undergraduates, the Department of Statistics and Data Science has established this certificate program for all full-time undergraduate students at the university. The program offers more than ten courses covering both foundational and advanced topics in statistics. Students who complete 15 credits in accordance with the program requirements will be awarded the "Data Thinking and Practice" Certificate.
Through this program, students will develop a solid understanding of fundamental statistical principles and ways of thinking, acquire strong statistical reasoning skills, and gain the ability to address real-world data problems effectively. Graduates of the program will be able to apply statistical methods proficiently and will be well prepared as highly competitive interdisciplinary talents.

Basic Requirements
The program is open to all full-time undergraduate students at Tsinghua University and operates under a credit-based system.
Students independently select and complete courses according to the published program plan; course registration follows the same procedures as for other university courses.
All program requirements must be completed during the period of the student’s primary undergraduate study. Students who do not complete the program before graduating from their major are not permitted to extend their period of enrollment.
After fulfilling all program requirements, students must submit an application during the graduation semester of their major program to receive the Tsinghua University "Data Thinking and Practice" Certificate.
