Undergraduate Education
The undergraduate major in Statistics is oriented toward the frontier needs of statistics and data science and features two specialization pathways: Statistics and Data Analysis & Artificial Intelligence. The program places equal importance on theoretical foundations and practical training, with particular emphasis on mathematical rigor, the full data workflow, and interdisciplinary analytical modeling.
The curriculum is designed to achieve three key goals: to build a solid foundation in the core theories and methods of statistics and data science; to expose students to cutting-edge developments in the discipline; and to strengthen their capacity to use data analysis techniques to address real-world challenges in research, industry, and decision-making.
Through systematic training, the program aims to prepare students to become future professionals and innovators in statistics and data science, equipped with a global perspective, well-rounded capabilities, and a strong commitment to academic excellence.
